Welcome to the feedback list! Here's some tips for giving your feature requests and suggestions:

 

Search before posting: See if someone else has already posted your suggestion. If you add your support to an existing post, you're more likely to push the request to the top.

 

Keep one suggestion to one thread: Do not combine lots of different suggestions/requests together in one thread. Keeping suggestions separate avoid confusion you're voting for and avoids Cratejoy missing your feedback.

This is THE place to post your Cratejoy product feedback and suggestions.

 

Why a dedicated spot for suggestions and feedback?

Posting your feedback and suggestions here gives everyone a chance to contribute - others may share your thoughts or have different ideas. The more people who vote up your suggestion, the more likely it is to bubble to the top of the list.

 

Before posting a suggestion

Always search the feedback list for existing discussions before posting a new one. Someone may already have posted your suggestion or feedback, and you can add your "vote" by posting to it.

Popular requests bubble up to the top. However, popularity is just one aspect that determines what we include in the roadmap. Read more about how we handle requests here

 

Timelines

Except for a very small number of exceptions, the Cratejoy team does not provide ETAs or timelines on features. Where possible, we will communicate the status of a particular suggestion.

 

How Cratejoy manages this list

We read all of the feedback posted in this list, even if we don't directly reply to it.  

Ability to offer existing customers to add something to their upcoming shipment

With the new add-ons app, sellers are able to currently offer one-time products as add-ons to their subscription products on their storefront website. This is useful for new customers that are currently buying a subscription product.

 

I'd be nice if sellers could also offer something similar but to existing customers.

 

So that sellers could email existing customers asking if they'd like to add an add-on item to their next shipment before the cutoff day (when the shipping list is finalized). The customer could click a link in the email and be taken to a page where they can easily buy and add something to their upcoming shipment.

 

Since most sellers have more existing customers than they are getting new each month, this would give us a bigger audience to "upsell/cross-sell" to.

    Realize could cause un-subscribes - wish there was a way to do this for renewals. We could test sending the cross sell email after renewal but before shipping - to give people a chance to get special cross sell.

    PLEAAAAAASSSE.

    We just tested this (very) manually.... and AMAZING. (CJ, please ask me for details!) Other service like Dollar Shave Club, Rent the Runway, and more do this. "We're shipping your box soon, want us to throw in a _____ for $____?" It's amazing the number of people who will say yes.

    But the issues that we need CJ's helping with:

    -- Adding this extra item to their subscription box (for fulfillment centers)

    -- Charging that that extra amount of money to that person

    Yes i'd love to be able to offer this add-on to existing customers- it would be an easy way for them to add these products to their regular shipment. Its odd to only offer this to new customers.

    Dorian Wagner's comment is the most critical aspect of this request. We have to be able to send an email that contains the BUY button and then the user is done. No navigation to the website, no checkout, just click the button in the email and it's added.

    We already do this and have to add it as a seperate one time order. A nightmare when preparing shipments and we need to match each upgraded item to the subscriber, making sure that they successfully renewed to pay for the actual box.

    Please do add this. The subscribers who add-on are ones that are huge fans of the box and want a little twist. I didn't realize that the add-on app was only for new subscriptions.  My box gains much more revenue with add-ons and we have subscribers who request repeat add-ons. I have to go into my payment gateway directly and re-bill. It would make Cratejoy more money anyway.

    This would be a great way to increase the value of a subscription in a subscriber's eyes as well. I currently offer subscribers one-time items at a discounted price, just for them being subscribers, but if I could feature a product a month as a last-minute item for them for just a few bucks, that's a ton of potential profit. Please do this Cratejoy!

    I am desperate for this feature! I am running a shave club and believe me there is only a marginal profit without the ability of having a customer add to their subscription.
